Another new member...
has joined this horrid Breast Cancer club - Christina Applegate. Word is 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer. Younger women are being diagnosed more and more, which means women should not wait until 40 for their first mammogram and self exams are essential. Christina's BC was detected early and she is expected to make a full recovery, which is great news!
In another recent turn of events, last Friday the Program Director of Gilda's Club contacted me about a upcoming project. Seems I have been selected for a taping, although I have only been a member since June she said she thought I had a story to tell and would like for me to share my experience with Gilda's Club thus far. All the details are not in/finalized, but I will be interviewed by the Dallas Fox 4 News Medical Reporter, John Hammarley. Not completely sure what they are planning to do with the footage, one thing that she mentioned was that it would be viewed by heavy hitting financial supporters. I personally don't think I have "a story to tell" but whateves...
Perhaps my "experience" in some strange way will help someone else and also make individuals and corporations open their wallets to support Gilda's.

You know hopluv, we all have a story to share, if you are ready and willing to do share, then go forth and do so.
